Motor vehicle collision with motor scooter: C26-234516
On September 17, 2026, just after 10:00 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 200 block of Pembina Highway for the report of a single motor vehicle collision and Vespa. The 72-year-old driver of the Vespa was transported to the hospital in unstable condition. The Traffic Division is continuing the investigation. As a result of this investigation, traffic disruptions occurred for several hours.
Single motor vehicle collision involving motorcycle: C26-234999
On September 17, 2026, just before 7:30 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the area of Salter Street and St. Johns Avenue in response to a single motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle. A 28-year-old man sustained an injury to his upper body and was transported to hospital in unstable condition, later upgraded to stable. The Traffic Division is continuing the investigation.
Hit and run investigation involving pedestrian: C26-235054
On September 17, 2026, just before 8:30 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the area of King Street and Logan Avenue for the report of a hit and run involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian. The victim was taken to hospital in unstable condition, later upgraded to stable. The Traffic Division is continuing the investigation.

C26-234285 – Stabbing
On September 17, at 12:15 a.m. (on 17th), officers from Central District with the assistance of the K9 and Drone units responded to a parking lot in the 600 block of William Avenue for the report of a delivery driver who had been stabbed.
Officers located an injured man lying in the parking lot and they provided emergency medical care; including a tourniquet. The victim in his 60s was transported to hospital in unstable condition and was later upgraded to stable condition.
The Major Crimes Unit is continuing this investigation.

On September 18, at 1:00 a.m., officers from East District with the assistance of the K9 Unit responded to a hotel establishment in the 300 block of Nairn Avenue for the report of a stabbing.
The victim in his 20s was transported to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable condition.

C26-235233 – Arson
On September 18, at 1:18 a.m., officers from Central District responded to a fire that began outside and moved inside a shared residence in the 300 block of Pacific Avenue. A man was taken into custody and charged with arson. The other residents were unharmed; however, they were unable to return to the residence.
Bronxton Herman STRONG, (20), was charged with the following offences:
- Arson with Disregard for Human Life
- Arson Causing Damage to Property
- Possession of Incendiary Material x 2
- Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order x 2
- Warrant Fail to Attend Court - Appearance Notice
- Warrant Fail to Attend Court - Release Order
He was detained in custody.
C26-235258 – Arson
On September 18, at 2:00 a.m., officers from Central District responded to a fire at a three-storey apartment in the 200 block of Young Street. Several tenants were in the building during the fire, but were unharmed.
Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service located a man inside the suite that was on fire. He was safely removed and taken into police custody.

He was detained in custody.
