The Manitoba Integrated Violent Offender Apprehension Unit was actively searching for a man on the Manitoba’s Most Wanted list who had outstanding warrants for previous firearms and assault-related offences.

On March 3, 2026, the accused attended a residence in the downtown area.

While armed with a firearm, he threatened, assaulted and robbed an adult female in a domestic-related incident. He was not located and a warrant for his arrest was issued.  

On July 3, 2026, the accused attended a social gathering in the southwest area of the city, where he pulled out a loaded firearm and waved it at the other occupants. He then fled and a report was made to police. He was not located and a warrant for his arrest was issued. 

The Major Crimes Unit continued both investigations and the accused became a wanted person on the Manitoba’s Most Wanted list.

On September 9, 2026, at approximately 7:30 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service’s Bail Compliance Unit and Tactical Support Team located the accused in the 400 block of Lipton Street. He was found in possession of a loaded Glock handgun.

21-year-old, Benjamyn John BEAULIEU was charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Warrant: Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
  • Warrant: Armed Robbery with Firearm, Pointing Firearm, Forcible Confinement, Assault with Weapon, Utter Threats to Kill or Cause Bodily Harm
  • Warrant: Fail to Attend Court

He was turned over to the Major Crimes Unit and then detained in custody.
