The Winnipeg Police Service’s Community Support Units (CSU) continues to address community concerns related to drug trafficking, violent crime, and open drug use in the downtown area, particularly in the West End.

In July 2026, Central Division CSU initiated an investigation into two adult suspected of trafficking methamphetamine and cocaine from a residence in the 200 block of Spence Street. Through the course of the investigation, officers identified the suspects and obtained a search warrant for the residence.

On July 24, with assistance from the Central General Patrol, the East District Community Support Unit, and the Tactical Support Team, the search warrant was executed at the residence. A 20-year-old male and 27-year-old female were taken into custody without incident.

Property Seized

Officers seized the following property as evidence:

  • A sawed-off Remington Model 870 shotgun
  • A hatchet and four knives
  • Two canisters of bear spray
  • 20 grams of Methamphetamine (Estimated Street Value: $1,000)
  • 47 grams of Cocaine (Estimated Street Value: $3,750)
  • A bag with Fentanyl residue
  • Various ammunition
  • Cutting agents
  • Drug packaging
  • Contaminated scales
  • Cellular phones
  • Score sheets
  • $40 CDN currency
  • A stolen Canada Travel Document Card

Charges – Tiana Beverly Lena PRINCE (27)

PRINCE has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
  • Possession of a Weapon
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
  • Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order x 4

PRINCE was detained in custody.

Charges – 20-year-old male

The male suspect faces the following charges:

  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Weapon
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine

He was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
