On June 17, 2026, just before 1:00 a.m., North District General Patrol officers were engaged in proactive traffic enforcement when they observed a rental 2024 Nissan Kicks travelling northbound on Main Street near Redwood Avenue.
A traffic stop ensued in the 1-99 block of Redwood Avenue to confirm valid driver’s license and rental agreement. While engaging with the driver of the vehicle, officers observed a folding knife in plain sight within the vehicle. Both occupants of the vehicle were arrested and taken into custody.
A search of both occupants resulted in officers locating and seizing the following items:
- Loaded 9mm handgun
- 1.2 grams of cocaine (Estimated Street Value = $ 100)
- Approximately $6,000 in Canadian currency

- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon, Firearm Part or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
- Possession of a Weapon
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
He was detained in custody.
A 21-year-old woman is facing the following charges:
- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Possession of a Weapon
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
She was released on an Undertaking.
