Between September 2025 and May 2026, the Winnipeg Police Service’s Guns, Gangs, and Drug Enforcement Unit (GGDEU) investigated reports of residential drug trafficking in and about the city of Winnipeg.

During this investigation, over $10,000 worth of drugs, $146,000 worth of high-end jewellery and clothing, and over $250,000 worth of Canadian currency was seized.

Three suspects were charged and several associated addresses were identified:

  • A residence in the 1-99 block of Mount Auburn Bay, Winnipeg
  • A residence in the 200 block of North Haven Way, West St. Paul
  • A residence in the 1-99 block of Saskatchewan Avenue West, Portage La Prairie

On May 12, 2026, just after 9:00 a.m., with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team (TST), the Bail Compliance Unit, the Property Crime Unit, and both Central and East District Community Support Units, the Guns, Gangs, and Drug Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the 200 block of North Haven Way. A man was arrested and the following items were seized:
 

  • High-end jewellery and clothing (Estimated Value = $100,000)
  • Approximately $200,000 in Canadian currency
  • Vacuum sealer and packaging

Raymond Brody SUTHERLAND, (28), has been charged with Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000.

He was released on Appearance Notice.

On May 12, 2026, just before 10:00 a.m., a traffic stop was conducted on female suspect driving a 2022 Mercedes in the 200 block of North Haven Way. She was taken into custody.

Savaria Mary SEFA, (28), has been charged with Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000.

She was released on Appearance Notice.

On May 12, 2026, just after 10:00 a.m., the Guns, Gangs, and Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a traffic stop on a man on a scooter who was leaving a residence in the 1-99 block of Mount Auburn Bay. He was arrested and found in possession of the following items:

  • 144 grams of cocaine (Estimated Street Value  = $7,500)
  • 149 grams of cannabis marihuana (Estimated Street Value = $2,500)
  • 2 scales
  • Approximately $57 in Canadian currency.

Ryan Michael PANGMAN, (26) has been charged with the following:

  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
  • Adult Possess More Than Equivalent of 30g Dried Cannabis in a Public Place

He was released on an Undertaking.

On May 12, 2026, warrants were executed at residences in the 1-99 block of Mount Auburn Bay and the 1-99 block of Saskatchewan Avenue West, Portage La Prairie, with nothing further in evidentiary value seized.
