On April 25, 2026, a 41-year-old man was taken into custody following a short stand-off with the Winnipeg Police Service Tactical Support Team (TST) in the St. Vital area.
Between April 13 and April 17, 2026, Graeme HAVENS (41) was the subject of multiple protection orders.
On April 24, email communications were sent to protected individuals from an account believed to belong to HAVENS, breaching the protection orders. A warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest. Officers also had information that he was armed with a firearm and had made concerning comments toward police on social media.
On April 25 at approximately 3:10 p.m., West District General Patrol officers, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team (TST), Drone Unit, K9 unit, and Crisis Negotiation Unit, attended a residence in the 1–99 block of Sadler Avenue to arrest HAVENS.
When officers attempted to make contact, HAVENS barricaded himself inside the residence. At approximately 5:05 p.m., after extensive negotiation, he exited the residence and was taken into custody without incident.
HAVENS has been charged with Disobeying Court Order x 7. He was detained in custody.
