A man has been charged with offences related to possessing Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material (CSAEM) and online luring, following two separate investigations by the Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) and the Counter Exploitation Unit (CEU).

In July 2025, the ICE Unit entered into an investigation after being alerted to  CSAEM videos that were uploaded to the internet between February and May 2025.

On August 26, 2025, during an unrelated CEU investigation, a man was arrested for communicating online with a person who was believed to be under the age of 18. The accused was charged with the following offences:

  • Communication for the Purpose of Obtaining Sexual Services
  • Luring a Person Under the Age of 16 by Means of Telecommunications

He was released on a Release Order which included conditions to not possess or access electronic storage devices.

In March 5, 2026, ICE executed a search warrant at the male’s residence in the Wolseley neighbourhood, which investigators identified as the internet subscriber linked to uploaded CSAEM videos. He was taken into custody and electronic storage devices were seized as evidence.

He was charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of Child Pornography
  • Access Child Pornography
  • Distribute Child Pornography
  • Distribute Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material
  • Possession of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material
  • Access any Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material
  • Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order

He was detained in custody and has not been named to protect the privacy of involved parties in these investigations.
