The Winnipeg Police Service arrested two suspects after an investigation into vehicle break-ins in a downtown parking lot. The arrest led to the seizure of a sawed-off shotgun, ammunition, a knife, and stolen identification.
On February 20, 2026, at approximately 5:56 a.m., security in the 400 block of Webb Place observed two suspects casing vehicles in a parkade and contacted police. Central District General Patrol officers attended and located a 45-year-old-man and 39-year-old man who matched the description of the suspects and took them into custody.
The 45-year-old man was in possession of a sawed-off shotgun. The 39-year-old man was found in possession of a concealed knife, ammunition, and stolen identification, and was also the subject of an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.
Terrance Trevor OKEMOW (45) has been charged with possessing a firearm contrary to a prohibition order x 2, possessing a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, and breaching probation. He was detained in custody.
The 39-year-old man is facing charges of possession of a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of an identity document, and possession of ammunition contrary to prohibition order. He was released on an Undertaking.
