Guns and Gangs search warrants nets drugs, cigarettes, stolen property, and cash; four suspects arrested: R25-72737

In January 2025, the Guns and Gangs Unit began an investigation into drug activity within the city of Winnipeg. As a result of this investigation, two search warrants were executed and the following was seized by officers:

  • 1,633 grams of Cocaine (Estimated Street Value = $48,000)
  • 189 grams of Fentanyl (Estimated Street Value = $5,000)
  • 1,542 grams of Psilocybin (Estimated Street Value = $6,000)
  • 17,563 grams of raw Marijuana (Estimated Street Value = $95,000)
  • 791 grams of marijuana resin (Estimated Street Value = $8,800)
  • 5,000 mg of liquid Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) (Estimated Street Value = $18,000)
  • 24,000 contraband cigarettes (Estimated Street Value = $10,000)
  • Over $8,300 in Canadian currency
  • 283 Marijuana vape pen cartridges (Estimated Street Value = $14,000)
  • 656 bags of Marijuana edibles (Estimated Street Value = $13,000)
  • 5 high value watches (Estimated Value = $70,000)
  • Loaded Tokarev Type 54 handgun
  • Mossberg 12-gauge pistol grip shotgun
  • Over 1,000 rounds of ammunition

Three males and one female were arrested.

On January 28, 2025, just after 12:30 p.m., a 38-year-old male suspect was seen leaving an office building in the 300 block of Nassau Street North in a 2023 Ford F150 Lariat. A traffic stop was initiated by officers a short time later on the vehicle and the suspect was taken into custody. A search of the vehicle revealed the following items:

  • 30 grams of Cocaine
  • 2,139 grams of raw Marijuana
  • 20,000 contraband cigarettes
  • Drug paraphernalia
  • Approximately $320 in Canadian Currency

As a result of this investigation, with support from the Tactical Support Team (TST), investigators executed a search warrant for an office building in the 300 block of Nassau Street North. A 39-year-old male suspect was located inside and was subsequently arrested. The following items were seized by officers including:

  • 1,603 grams of Cocaine
  • 189 grams of Fentanyl
  • 1,542 grams of Psilocybin Mushrooms
  • 10,326 grams of raw Marijuana
  • 791 grams of Marijuana resin/shatter
  • 656 individual bags of assorted Marijuana edibles
  • 791 grams of Marijuana resin
  • 283 Marijuana vape cartridges
  • 5,000 mg of liquid Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)
  • Loaded Tokarev Type 54 handgun
  • Mossberg 12-gauge pistol grip shotgun
  • 1000+ rounds of ammunition
  • Drug packaging and paraphernalia

As a result of this investigation, a search warrant was executed on a residence in the 100 block of William Tweed Terrace. The following items were seized by officers including:

  • 5,098 grams of raw Marijuana
  • 4,000 contraband cigarettes
  • Approximately $8,000 in Canadian currency
  • Drug packaging and paraphernalia

A 23-year-old male suspect and a 27-year-old female suspect were observed leaving separately from the William Tweed Terrace residence just before the warrant was executed and were both arrested.

A 38-year-old man is facing the following charges:

  • Trafficking in Contraband Tobacco x 2
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x 2
  • Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine x 2
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Psilocybin
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession for the Purpose of Distributing Cannabis

A 39-year-old male is facing the following charges:

  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Psilocybin
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession for the Purpose of Distributing Cannabis
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x 2
  • Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition

A 23-year-old male is facing the following charges:

  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x 2
  • Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Psilocybin
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession for the Purpose of Distributing Cannabis

A 27-year-old female is facing charges of Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine, Trafficking in Contraband Tobacco, and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000.

All were released on two Undertakings.
