On January 22, 2026, Community Support Officers executed a search warrant in the William Whyte neighbourhood. Officers located firearms, drugs, and cash, leading to the arrest of a 50-year-old Winnipeg man who remains in custody.
In January of 2026, members of the North District Community Support Unit entered into an investigation regarding drug trafficking at a residence in the 700 block of Pritchard Avenue.
On January 22, at 6:38 p.m., with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team (TST), officers executed a search warrant at the Pritchard Avenue residence and seized the following property:
- A loaded Ruger .22 calibre handgun
- A Savage Rascal .22 rifle
- A loaded Remington 12-gauge sawed-off shotgun
- 336 grams of Methamphetamine (Estimated Street Value $15,135)
- 30 grams of Crack Cocaine (Estimated Street Value $2,450)
- .77 grams of Fentanyl and 37 suspected Fentanyl tablets (Estimated Street Value $2,790)
- 87 Percocet pills (Estimated Street Value $1,305)
- 1 Hydromorphone pill (Estimated Street Value $20)
- $2526 Canadian currency
Joey Victor ARNAL (50) was arrested during the search warrant, where an additional $5400 in Canadian currency was located on his person at the time of his arrest. He has been charged with 22 offences, as follows:
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking x 5 (Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Hydromorphone, Oxycodone, and Fentanyl)
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm x 2
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized x 3
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon, Firearm Part or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order x 3
- Possession of a Weapon
- Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order x 4
- Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regs x 3
ARNAL was detained in custody.
