On December 26, 2025, around 2:30 p.m., a man was randomly assaulted at a hotel bar in the 300 block of Kennedy Street. The victim in his 20s was inside the bar when he was confronted by three strangers who began punching, kicking and choking him. The suspects fled when staff warned they had called police.
The victim was transported to hospital in stable condition.
On December 28, officers from Central District located two of the suspects and they were taken into custody.
Lorraine Margaret MUSWAGON (36), was charged with the following offences:
- Aggravated Assault
- Possession of Scheduled Substance – Cocaine
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order x 3
Keenan Charles MOAR (27), who was in possession of crack cocaine, drug packaging materials (estimated street value of $800) and $143 cash, was charged with the following offences:
- Aggravated Assault
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
- Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order
They were both detained in custody.
The investigation is continuing.
