Between August and September 2025, two teens were contacted by an 18-year-old man on social media who identified himself online using the following names:

  • “Winnipeg Stunna” or “wpgstunna”
  • “Ajay” or “AJ”

On September 14, after several weeks of communicating with the male, a teenage girl agreed to meet up with the male at his residence where she was sexually assaulted. The Child Abuse Unit assumed the investigation and identified a suspect.

On September 28, investigators arrested and charged Alvin “AJ” RICHARD (18) for Sexual Assault, Sexual Interference, and Luring a Person Under 14 years of age by Means of Telecommunication. His mobile phone was seized for forensic analysis at the time of his arrest. He was released on a Release Order with several conditions relating to the use of electronic devices and social media.

As a result of the analysis of his mobile phone, investigators learned that on
November 7, 2025, RICHARD accessed a social media site contrary to his release order. Investigators also identified a second teen survivor who was also lured and sexually assaulted in the same time period as the first survivor.

On December 3, 2025, RICHARD was arrested for Sexual Assault, Sexual Interference, Luring a Person Under 14 years of age by Means of Telecommunication, and Fail to Comply with Release Order x 3.

RICHARD was remanded into custody.
