Two people were arrested regarding a rash of gas bar robberies in the 1400 block of Henderson Highway between June 2024 and September 2025.

Police resources including General Patrol, the Major Crimes Unit with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team (TST) and K9 Unit responded to six commercial robberies involving weapons at the same gas bar on Henderson Highway. None of the victims required medical attention.

  • On September 21, 2025, around 7:00 a.m., two men attended to a gas bar in the 1400 block of Henderson. An employee was threatened with a firearm, cigarettes and cash were stolen. The suspects fled before police arrived, however they were taken into custody a few hours later near Main Street and Mountain Avenue. The Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation.

Adam Luke ZEBRASKY (51) was charged with the following four offences and detained in custody:

  • Robbery

  • Possession of a Weapon
     
  • Possession of Firearm/Restricted/Prohibited Weapon/Part or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order

  • Use of Imitation Firearm During Commission of an Indictable Offence

Anthony Branko BRIS (29)  was charged with the following offences and detained in custody:

  • Robbery

  • Use of Imitation Firearm During Commission of an Indictable Offence

Investigators later determined one of the men was linked to five previous robberies at the same gas bar in the 1400 block of Henderson Highway:

  • On June 8, 2024, around 6:15 a.m., a male suspect entered the gas bar armed with a knife. An employee was threatened with the weapon and cigarettes were stolen.

  • On January 19, 2025, around 7:45 a.m., a male suspect entered the gas bar armed with a knife and demanded cigarettes. The victim was physically threatened with the weapon and cigarettes were stolen.

  • On March 13, 2025, around 4:45 a.m., a male suspect entered the gas bar armed with a firearm. The employee was threatened and cigarettes were stolen.

  • On July 15, 2025, around 5:50 a.m., a male suspect entered the gas bar armed with a knife. The employee was threatened and cigarettes were stolen.

  • On August 6, 2025, around 5:00 a.m., a male suspect entered the gas bar indicating he was armed with a weapon in his pocket. The employee was threatened and cigarettes were stolen.
     

On December 4, 2025, as part of an ongoing investigation, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the 1900 block of Rothesay Street. ZEBRASKY (who was previously released from custody) was re-arrested.

He was charged with nine additional offences: 

  • Robbery x 5
  • Possession of a Weapon x 3
  • Use of Imitation Firearm During Commission of an Indictable Offence

He was detained in custody.
