On November 25, 2025, shortly before 12:30 a.m., patrolling North District General Patrol officers initiated a traffic stop after observing a 2015 Hyundai Accent make an improper turn at the intersection of Andrews Street and Flora Avenue. The lone occupant of the vehicle, 24-year-old Milad WAHAB, is known to police as a high-risk offender with a caution for being armed and dangerous.
During the traffic stop in the 100 block of Salter Street, officers observed signs of drug trafficking within the vehicle and immediately arrested WAHAB without incident. When officers searched the vehicle, they found and seized the following:
- A loaded Glock 22 .40 calibre handgun with a tampered serial number and a magazine containing 10 rounds of ammunition
- 32 Grams of Cocaine (Estimated Street Value = $3,200)
- 5 Grams of Fentanyl (Estimated Street Value = $250)
- 36 Oxycodone pills (Estimated Street Value = $2,880), 41 Percocet pills (Estimated Street Value = $820)
- 74 Hydromorphone pills (Estimated Street Value = $1,480)
- Two cellular phones
- Packaging materials

WAHAB is charged with the following offences:
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle
- Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing Serial Number has been Tampered With
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Meth
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Fentanyl
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking x 2
WAHAB was also issued a Provincial Offence Act notice regarding the Highway Traffic Act infraction.
WAHAB was detained in custody.
