As the result of an ongoing drug investigation, the Guns & Gangs Unit executed search warrants at two homes in the West Kildonan and Garden City neighbourhoods. Over $117,000 worth of drugs, $270,000 in illegal cigarettes and more than $21,000 in cash were seized. Two people were arrested and facing trafficking charges.
On November 9, 2025, police conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of Jefferson Avenue. The male driver and the female passenger were taken into custody in relation to a drug trafficking investigation and the driver was found in possession of cocaine and proceeds of crime. The passenger was released with no charges.
A search warrant was executed in the 400 block of Jefferson Avenue and the following items were seized:
- approximately 685 grams of Methamphetamine
- approximately 480 grams of Cocaine
- approximately 271,000 illegal cigarettes
- approximately $15,000 Canadian cash
- drug packaging materials
- a money counter
- a safe
A second search warrant was executed in the 1-99 block of Teakwood Avenue, where a woman was taken into custody and the following items were seized:
- approximately 855 grams of Methamphetamine
- approximately 400 illegal cigarettes
- approximately $4,210 Canadian cash
- drug trafficking materials
A 37-year-old man is facing the following charges:
- Possession of Scheduled Substance - Cocaine
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Methamphetamine x 2
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 x 2
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Possession of Cigarettes etc. not Manitoba Marked
- Trafficking in Contraband Tobacco
He was released on an Undertaking.
A 45-year-old woman is facing the following charges:
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Methamphetamine
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
She was released on an Undertaking.
