In the summer of 2025, the Winnipeg Police Service’s Central District Community Support Unit began an investigation regarding suspected drug trafficking within the city of Winnipeg. Investigators identified a coordinated drug trafficking network within the Saint Boniface neighbourhood which was supplying a large amount of illicit drugs to the downtown area.
On October 15, 2025, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team (TST), East District Community Support Unit, the Guns and Gangs Unit, and Central District General Patrol, two search warrants were executed in suites at two apartment complexes in the 100 block of Aubert Street and the 400 block of Youville Street and seized the following:
- 1.8 kilograms of cocaine (Estimated Street Value = $54,000)
- 450 Percocet pills (Estimated Street Value = $2,300)
- Cooey Model 600 .22 calibre rifle
- JR Carbine multi-calibre rifle with serial number obliterated
- Winchester Model 94 30-30 calibre rifle
- King Cobra revolver .357 calibre magnum (previously reported stolen)
- Garland Paris revolver
- Two loaded rifle magazines
- Two empty rifle magazines
- Large quantity of ammunition
- Approximately $45,000 in Canadian currency
A 33-year-old man, a 50-year-old man, a 21-year-old woman, and a 51-year-old woman are facing several firearms and drug-related charges including the following:
- Unauthorized Possession of Firearm x 3
- Possession of Prohibited/Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Serial Number has been Tampered With
- Storage of a Firearm Contrary to Regulations x 6
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
All four were released on Undertakings.
