In June 2025, a woman in her 20s went to an apartment block in the Daniel McIntyre neighbourhood to see an adult female relative. The female resident did not allow her inside, and they had a verbal argument through an open second-storey window.

The woman standing outside, eventually snuck into the building, entering the victim’s unlocked suite. The victim who was sitting on the window sill, was pushed and fell to the concrete below. The accused ran off and someone called emergency services. The victim sustained serious injuries. A police report was not made at the time.

On September 3rd, the victim was on Selkirk Avenue when she encountered the accused. A verbal argument escalated, and the accused grabbed the victim’s crutches, assaulted her with them, and kicked at her existing injury. The accused ran off with the victim’s crutches, leaving her immobile.

The next day (September 4th), around 4:30 p.m., during a phone call, the victim was threatened harm by the accused.

Officers from the Central District began an investigation and learned about the previous unreported assault in June.

Around 7:15 p.m., the accused was located and arrested.

Presley WHITMORE, a 21-year-old woman, was charged with the following offences:

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Robbery
  • Uttering Threats - Cause Death or Bodily Harm
  • Allegation of Non-compliance with Conditional Sentence Order x 4
  • Warrant: Allegation of Non-compliance with Conditional Sentence Order

She was detained in custody.
