In May 2025, the Winnipeg Police Service’s Guns and Gangs Unit launched an investigation into drug trafficking activity within the city. Investigators identified three suspects, as well as two residences and two vehicles of interest.
On July 11, 2025, with support from the Tactical Support Team, investigators executed search warrants at a residence in the 400 block of Sackville Street and the 200 block of Roseberry Street. Two men and a woman were taken into custody during the search warrants.
A search of the two locations led to the seizure of 453 grams of cocaine, 41 grams of methamphetamine, 10 grams of MDMA, 50 rounds of 9mm ammunition, electronic devices, stolen property, as well as items and supplies consistent with drug trafficking and drug production. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $47,500.

- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – ECSTASY
- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon, Firearm Part or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon, Firearm Part or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
- Fail to Comply with Condition of Undertaking
He was detained in custody.
Peter James DELARONDE (37) is charged with:
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – COCAINE
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
Kaitlin Rae Ann CORDES (27) is charged with:
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – COCAINE
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
Both were released on an Undertaking.
