A woman was robbed and stabbed at a residence on Pritchard Avenue during a drug-dispute.

On July 4th, 2025, a 31-year-old woman was inside a residence with known acquaintances in the 400 block of Pritchard Avenue. A dispute broke out between the residents and the victim, escalating into a physical fight and her cigarettes were stolen.

The woman managed to escape but was chased down by one of the adults and a youth from inside the residence. She was thrown to the ground and stabbed as they attempted to steal her purse. The suspects ran off, while she made it to safety at a nearby store.

Officers from the North District responded and located the injured victim in the 500 block of Selkirk Avenue. Police provided emergency medical care until paramedics arrived. She was transported to hospital in unstable condition, and eventually upgraded to stable condition.

The Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation, and all three suspects were arrested on July 9th:

Taylor LOUIS (33) was charged with robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, uttering threats and breaching a release order. He was detained in custody.
