A 30-year-old man was transported to hospital in unstable condition after being assaulted with an edged weapon. Following the attack, the victim managed to escape the residence in the 500 block of Furby Street where bystanders stopped to help and called 911.
Police learned that shortly after midnight (June 3rd), the victim and another male were socializing at the Furby residence when a disagreement erupted between the two. The accused armed himself with an edged weapon, assaulted the victim and ran off. The police Drone Unit located the man in the 400 block of Langside Street where members of general patrol placed him under arrest.
The man in his 20s is facing four weapons, assault, and breach-related charges. He was detained in custody.
