Update:
The Winnipeg Police Service’s Homicide Unit is seeking public assistance to locate two suspects wanted in relation to the murders of 33-year-old male, Sheldon Derrach CATCHEWAY and 35-year-old female, Shanastene Irene MCLEOD.
CATCHEWAY and MCLEOD were fatally shot in the 300 block of Alfred Avenue on February 15, 2025.
The Homicide Unit continued to investigate, identified two suspects and Canada-Wide warrants have been issued for Jermain Gage HOULE (Second Degree Murder) and Aaron Junior HOULE (Accessory After the Fact).

On February 15, 2025, at approximately 4:15 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to two fatal shootings in the 300 block of Alfred Avenue.
The deceased male was identified as 33-year-old Sheldon Derrach CATCHEWAY, a member of Swan Lake First Nation, who resided in Winnipeg.
The deceased female was identified as 35-year-old Shanastene Irene MCLEOD. MCLEOD was a member of Muskowekwan First Nation in Saskatchewan, who resided in Winnipeg.
North District General Patrol officers, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team (TST) and Canine Unit (K9), located CATCHEWAY outside the residence suffering from an upper body injury.
MCLEOD was located by officers within the residence suffering from an upper body injury.
Emergency medical care was provided to both victims before they were transported to the hospital in critical condition. Both succumbed to their injuries.
The Homicide Unit took over the investigation.
