In March of 2025, the Winnipeg Police Service’s Major Crimes Unit initiated an investigation involving an adult male who had committed several commercial robberies occurring in the Weston area.
On March 13, at approximately 1:25 p.m., investigators attended the area and observed the suspect preparing to enter a convenience store in the 100 block of Keewatin Street with their face covered. The male attempted to flee on foot; however, was quickly placed under arrest without incident.
The suspect was subsequently charged in regards to the following incidents:
- March 9 at approximately 12:30 p.m., the suspect attended to the above-mentioned convenience store while armed with a knife and with his face covered. The suspect fled with approximately $50 in merchandise.
- March 10 at approximately 3:20 p.m., the suspect attended to the above-mentioned convenience store with his face covered and advised staff he had a knife in his possession. The suspect fled with approximately $50 in merchandise.
- March 11 at approximately 1:45 p.m., the suspect attended to the above-mentioned convenience while armed with a knife and with his face covered. The suspect fled with approximately $50 in merchandise.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incidents.
Scott Justin FLAMAND of Winnipeg is charged with three (3) charges each of Robbery and Disguise with Intent and was detained in custody.
