On March 6, 2025 at approximately 12:13 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service received information regarding an active break & enter at a closed automobile dealership in the 1500 block of Lagimodière Boulevard.
Attending East District General Patrol officers were advised that a group of four suspects had attended in a pickup truck and were currently in a locked compound rummaging through property. The suspects were observed via remote surveillance loading scrap car parts and engine blocks into the bed of the truck before fleeing the area.
Air1 was dispatched to attend and quickly obtained visual containment of the suspect vehicle as it exited the compound. Air1 provided location information to ground units and a traffic stop was successfully conducted in the area of Plessis Road and Ravelston Avenue and all occupants were arrested without incident.
The Major Crimes Unit assumed the investigation and linked two of the suspects to a similar incident at another automobile dealership in the 1700 block of Waverley Street at approximately 4:00 a.m. on March 4.
The stolen property from both properties is valued at approximately $1,750.
