On March 1, 2025 at approximately 5:10 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to an establishment in the 800 block of Main Street for the report of an assault with a weapon.
North District General Patrol officers responded and located a 62-year-old victim with injuries to his face. Officers learned that a 22-year-old male suspect, who had been asked to leave the establishment earlier in the evening, later returned and assaulted an employee with a knife. He was transported to the hospital, where he was treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers found the suspect still at the establishment and arrested him without incident. A knife was also recovered and seized.
Roy Geordie MONIAS, 22 yrs of Winnipeg has been charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Weapon.
He was detained in custody.
