On November 1, 2024 at approximately 12:23 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to Graham Avenue and Smith Street for the report of a male on a transit bus armed with what appeared to be a firearm.
Attending Central District General Patrol members learned several male suspects were observed to be handling what appeared to be a firearm while on the bus. The suspects became involved in a physical altercation during which the firearm was pointed indiscriminently within the bus.
Shortly therafter, the armed suspect demanded to be let off which was granted by the operator and the individuals believed to be involved fled before police arrived. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
The Major Crimes has assumed the investigation. No arrests have been made.
