In August 2024, the Winnipeg Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit entered into an interprovincial investigation involving an adult male and the trafficking of illicit drugs within the City of Winnipeg.
On October 30, 2024, the suspect was arrested in the Richardson International Airport as he was returning from an inbound Toronto flight. A search of his person revealed 200 Percocet pills (Estimated Street Value: $1,000). Three additional individuals were identified as suspects and were arrested in various locations in Winnipeg.
At approximately 8:00 p.m., with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team (TST), West and North Community Support Units, simultaneously executed two search warrants at an apartment complex in the 1000 block of Warde Avenue and a residence in first 100 block of Colebrook Drive.
The search yielded a number of items which were seized by officers including the following:
- Operational scales
- A vacuum sealer
- Packaging materials
- 2 Cell phones
- A small amount of Canadian currency
As a result of their investigation, officers also located and seized approximately four (4) kilograms of Cocaine (Estimated Street Value: $120,000).
Christopher Alvin JACK, 36, from Toronto is charged with the following:
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
He was detained in custody.
A 21-year-old female from Winnipeg is facing the following charges:
- Traffic in Scheduled Substance - Cocaine
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
A 29-year-old female and 32-year-old female, both from Winnipeg are facing a charge of Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine.
All three were released on Undertakings as mandated by the Criminal Code.
The investigation is continuing.
