On  December 1, 2023, at approximately 10:00 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a residence in the 100 block of Mira Gate for the report of an adult female who had been assaulted.

Flight Operations Unit officers (Air1) attended and observed an adult female victim entering a late model Dodge Ram and driving away from the location.

With the guidance provided by Air1, North District General Patrol officers and Canine Unit members located the vehicle and the injured adult female near North Point Boulevard and McPhillips Street. She was transported to hospital in stable condition and treated for an upper-body injury. A search of the vehicle by officers produced the following property, which was seized as evidence:

- A loaded Glock 39 with a loaded magazine

- A loaded Glock 21 Gen 4 with a loaded extended magazine

- A loaded Smith & Wesson SD40 VE with a loaded extended magazine

- A loaded 9mm magazine and a 9mm round

- Approximately 1.35 Kg Cocaine (Estimated Street Value: $47,000)

- Over $21,000 CDN Currency

- Scales and packaging materials

Members of Air1 returned to the involved address, where they observed an adult male discarding what was determined to be a firearm from the residence balcony into the adjacent parking lot. Attending officers recovered the discarded 30-06 sawed-off rifle and arrested the suspect male and a second adult female within the residence without incident.

During a search of the residence, officers located score sheets, used packaging materials, cell phones, and approximately 52 grams of Cocaine (Estimated Street Value: $5,200). All were seized as evidence.
