Did you know the national launch of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) annual Project Red Ribbon holiday campaign is in Winnipeg this year?
For 36 years, Project Red Ribbon has been raising public awareness about the risks and consequences of impaired driving. While great strides have been made over the years to reduce impaired driving, it continues to be a deadly problem. Continued awareness efforts are vital, especially during the holiday season. Running from the beginning of November until the first Monday after the New Year, Project Red Ribbon puts the sober driving message top of mind during one of the busiest times on most people’s social calendars.
The ribbons are a small but powerful symbol of each wearer’s commitment to sober driving. They also serve as a highly visible tribute to all victims who have been killed or injured in impaired driving crashes.
MADD Canada's mission is stop impaired driving and to support victims of this violent crime
