On June 10, 2023, at approximately 11:45 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service observed a vehicle bearing stolen license plates being operated by a lone occupant in the city’s North End.

General Patrol officers from the North District began to follow the vehicle; however, after noting their presence, the suspect fled, driving erratically and endangering public safety. The Flight Operations Unit (Air1) assisted officers on the ground, took over visual containment of the vehicle, and observed it entering a parking lot in the 400 block of McPhillips Street. The suspect exited the vehicle and entered a business with officers on the ground engaged in close foot pursuit. As officers reached the suspect, he became uncooperative, resisted arrest, and unsuccessfully attempted to disarm an officer of his Conductive Energy Weapon (Taser). Officers established control of the suspect and safely placed him in custody.

After searching the suspect and the involved vehicle, officers seized the following property as evidence:

- Approximately 10 grams of Methamphetamine (Estimated Street Value: $500)
- Approximately 3.5 grams of Cocaine (Estimated Street Value: $350)
