On March 30, 2023, at approximately 9:30 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the Seven Oaks General Hospital for the report of a male who had been assaulted at the intersection of Pacific Avenue and Princess Street.
North District General Patrol Officers met with the 56-year-old male victim suffering from injuries sustained from a physical assault. He was transported to hospital by a good samaritan and received medical care.
Officers learned the victim was walking westbound on Pacific Street at approximately 8:00 a.m. when the suspect approached him. The suspect struck the victim in the upper body without provocation, causing him to fall to the sidewalk. The suspect fled on foot before police arrived.
During their investigation, officers learned that after assaulting the first victim, the same suspect physically assaulted a second yet-to-be-identified victim in the 200 block of Princess Street. (The second assault has yet to be reported to police.) The assault caused the victim to fall momentarily before rising to his feet and fleeing to safety. The suspect fled on foot before police arrived.

- A male, 25 to 40 yrs of age
- Approximately 5’8” to 6’2” in height
- Larger build
- Wearing a black jacket
- No race description
