Update:

On March 24, 2023, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Christian Patchinose was located at a residence in the William Whyte area and placed under arrest for the outstanding warrant. He was subsequently detained.

The Winnipeg Police Service thanks the public for their help.

As previously released on February 15, 2023:

The Winnipeg Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance with locating Christian Grant Patchinose, a 28-year-old male of Winnipeg.

 

Patchinose is the subject of an arrest warrant for the following offences:

- Operation of a Conveyance Causing Death While Impaired to Any Degree by BAC or Drug or a Combination of Both x 2
- Operation of a Conveyance Cause Bodily Harm While Impaired to Any Degree by BAC or Drug or a Combination of Both x 2
- Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance Causing Death
- Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance Cause Bodily Harm

The charges stem from an incident on May 30, 2022, at approximately 12:45 a.m., when Winnipeg Police Service officers attempted to stop an SUV in the Deer Lodge neighbourhood. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and fled the area.

Officers subsequently located the SUV in the 400 block of Truro Street, where it had collided with a tree. Patchinose and a 16-year-old female passenger were transported to a hospital in unstable condition, while a 22-year-old female passenger was transported in critical condition and succumbed to her injuries.

On January 24, 2023, the warrant for Patchinose’s arrest was issued. Officers have since been unable to locate him.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Patchinose is asked to call investigators at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
