As previously released:
On May 23, 2021, at approximately 2:30 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the first 100 block of Henry Avenue for the report of a seriously injured male.
First responders administered emergency first-aid; however, this individual had already succumbed to his injuries. A post-mortem examination has confirmed the death as a homicide, and the victim has been identified as Princeton Xavier Linden UPSHAW, a 30-year-old male of Winnipeg.
Update:
The Homicide Unit continued with the investigation and identified a suspect.
On November 10, 2022, investigators attended the Milner Ridge Correctional Centre and arrested the suspect on the strength of a warrant for second degree murder.
Leslie Boyd COOK, 27, of Winnipeg has been charged with the following offence:
- Second Degree Murder
He remains in custody.
