On October 12, 2022, the Guns & Gangs Unit, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team, seized over 6 million dollars worth of drugs and arrested two men from Alberta during a search warrant at an apartment in the 800 block of Sterling Lyon Parkway.
This is the largest methamphetamine seizure by the Guns & Gangs Unit to date. As a result of this investigation, the following items were seized:
- 63 kg of methamphetamine (estimated street value of $6.3M)
- 3.4 ounces of fentanyl (estimated street value of $15,000)
- 6.6 ounces of cocaine (estimated street value of $13,000)
- 2 Litres of GHB (estimated street value of $4,000)
Dennis BOBKO (35) and Bryan ARNOLD (47), both from Alberta, were charged with the following offences:
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking x 2
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possess Proceeds of Crime Over $5,000
They were detained in custody.
