On July 15, 2022, at approximately 3:00 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the area of Flora Avenue and Salter Street for the report of a male that had been stabbed.
Officers from the North District located an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body. Officers provided emergency medical care by applying a tourniquet. The adult male was transported to hospital in unstable condition and has since been upgraded to stable. He remains in hospital.
Through their investigation, Major Crimes Unit investigators believe the victim, a 26-year-old male from Winnipeg, was shot in the 400 block of Flora Street. He subsequently attended Salter Street, where he summoned assistance for his injuries.
No arrests have been made at this time.
