On July 14, 2022, at approximately 8:30 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 600 block of Selkirk Avenue for the report of a male that had been stabbed.
Officers from the North District, assisted by AIR1 and Tactical Support Unit members, located an adult male suffering from a severe upper-body injury. Officers provided emergency medical care by applying a tourniquet. The adult male was transported to hospital in unstable condition and has since been upgraded to stable. He remains in hospital.
Through their investigation, Major Crimes Unit investigators believe the victim, a 29-year-old male from Winnipeg, was attacked in the 500 block of Flora Street by a male armed with an edged weapon. He subsequently attended Selkirk Avenue, where he summoned assistance for his injury.
No arrests have been made at this time.
