On July 10, 2022, at 10:59 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service met with a caller who had just reported a carjacking that had occurred to them earlier in the evening.
The male victim (in his 30s) stated he had parked in the area of Cumberland Avenue and Carlton Street around 7:45 p.m. when he was approached by a female who asked for a smoke. Soon after, the female produced a knife and he was confronted by a male armed with a gun. The suspects stole some of his personal property and subsequently fled in the vehicle. The victim was not physically injured.
The female suspect is described as white, 25-35 years old, with brown hair in a ponytail. She had been wearing a ball cap and a black jacket (in a button-up or zip-up style and a strap over the shoulder).
The male suspect is described as white with fair skin, 25-35 years old, with dark eyes and multiple tattoos. He had been wearing a black hat and a black sweater.
The stolen vehicle was later located unoccupied in the 100 block of Garry Street.
