On June 2, 2022, at approximately 12:11 a.m., Central District General Patrol officers observed a stolen vehicle enter the parking lot of a bar/hotel in the 1400 block of Notre Dame Avenue.

The vehicle was stopped, and two occupants were safely taken into custody. However, a third occupant fled on foot, and with the assistance of AIR1, he was taken into custody in the 1300 block of Winnipeg Avenue.

A search of the stolen vehicle resulted in the seizure of a number of items, including the following:

- A sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun with ammunition
- Bear spray
- A machete
- 59.5 grams of cocaine
- 2.6 grams of crack cocaine
- 14 Percocet (Oxycodone) tablets
- A small amount of Canadian currency

The vehicle had been stolen from the Jefferson neighbourhood between May 31 and June 1, 2022.

Barry Shane Stevenson, a 34-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:

- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine (x2)
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Oxycodone
- Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle
- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
- Possession of a Weapon (x2)
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000

Bobbi Jean Asham, a 32-year-old female of Winnipeg, has been charged with:

- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine (x2)
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Oxycodone
- Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle
- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition.
- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of a Weapon (x2)
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Fail to Comply with Condition of Undertaking
- Drive Suspended (Highway Traffic Act)
- Drive without licence or with invalid licence (Highway Traffic Act)

Raymond Josh Asham, a 31-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:

- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine (x2)
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Oxycodone
- Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition

- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle
- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order (x3)
- Possession of a Weapon (x2)
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000

He was also processed on outstanding warrants for being unlawfully at large and suspension of his statutory release.

All three were detained.
