Winnipeg Police Board Strategic Plan Public Consultations

-

The Winnipeg Police Board serves as the connection between the community and the Winnipeg Police Service (WPS). The Board provides civilian governance over how policing is delivered in our city, ensuring enforcement of the law, maintenance of public peace, and the prevention of crime, while guiding how police services are organized and administered.

Right now, the Board is developing its 2026–2030 Strategic Plan, which will set the direction and priorities for the WPS in the years ahead.

As part of this process, the Board wants to hear from you.

If you live in, work in, or visit Winnipeg, you are invited you to share your perspectives on public safety.

Two community consultations are planned. They are open to all:

  • June 25, 2025 – Bronx Park Community Centre, 720 Henderson Highway | 5:00–7:00 p.m.
  • July 23, 2025 – Fort Rouge Leisure Centre / Osborne Library, 625 Osborne Street | 5:00–7:00 p.m.
