On January 27, 2024, at approximately 2:30 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 800 block of Main Street for the report of a male who had been stabbed.

Attending North District General Patrol officers located a 35-year-old male victim suffering from upper-body injuries sustained from a stabbing. He was transported to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable.

During the investigation, it was learned that a male suspect had approached the victim and robbed him of personal property while brandishing a knife and a firearm. During the robbery, the suspect stabbed the victim in the upper body and fled on foot, dropping the firearm in the process.
