Protecting your vehicle and contents

Released: December 18, 2023 at 12:22 p.m.

Reduce your risk this holiday season. Be mindful that the Grinch is out and about to prevent holiday cheer. Don’t give the Grinch a inch!

Most property crimes like thefts from motor vehicles are a crime of opportunity.

Here are some ways to minimize your risk:

  • Remove all valuables and shopping bags from view.
  • Close windows and lock all your doors.
  • Park in areas that are well lit with pedestrian traffic.
  • And displaying one of our All Valuables Removed signs in your vehicle window won’t hurt.

The Winnipeg Police Service wishes everyone a Safe and Crime Free Holiday Season!
