On January 1, 2023, at approximately 3:15 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a business in the 1600 block of Regent Avenue West for the report of a Commercial Break & Enter.

General Patrol officers from the East District attended and located an adult male suspect still within the premises. He was placed under arrest without incident. A stolen vehicle was also located on the premises and seized by officers.

The Major Crimes Unit assumed the investigation and learned the suspect attended the business in a previously reported stolen vehicle and accessed the premises by shattering the front entrance glass door. - On December 30, 2022, a suspect attended to the first 100 block of Balaban Place, broke into a parked vehicle, and stole numerous power tools contained within
