The Property Crime Unit is reminding the public to register or record serial numbers of household products such as electronics, power tools, bicycles, and jewelry. The documentation facilitates investigations in not only identifying victims but substantiating charges of property theft. In addition, documentation of property increases the chances of return of property to their rightful owners.
