On July 18, 2022, at 9:38 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 300 block of Arlington Street for a report of an attempted robbery. A passerby had observed a male being stabbed by several youths who had since run off.

Upon arrival, officers located an injured 51-year-old male and began to administer emergency medical care, including the use of a chest seal. The victim was transported to a hospital in unstable condition and was later upgraded to stable condition.
