As previously released:

On May 19, 2022, at approximately 4:30 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the report of an injured female located at an apartment complex in the 400 block of Kennedy Street.

The deceased victim was identified as Doris Lydia TROUT, 25, of Winnipeg.

Update:

Two suspects were identified relating to TROUT’s murder.

On June 7, Homicide investigators arrested and charged Meagan Leigh BEAULIEU, 27, of Winnipeg with the following offences:

  • Second Degree Murder
  • Fail to Attend Court (Release Order)
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

Investigators identified the second suspect, Leah Carol CLIFTON, 34, of Winnipeg, and a warrant for Second Degree Murder has been issued.

CLIFTON is also wanted for the homicide of Heather BEARDY which occurred in the 400 block of Furby Street on February 2, 2022.

Her whereabouts remain unknown as she is actively evading police. Investigators request public assistance in determining her whereabouts. *** WANTED *** Second Degree Murder X 2 Leah Carol CLIFTON, 34, of Winnipeg.

Previously released photographs May 24, 2022:

She is a white female, 5’6” in height, weighs approximately 140-150 lbs, and has a medium build. She has a tattoo with the words “RIP Dean” on the right side of her neck. CLIFTON is known to alter her appearance, including changing her hair color.

CLIFTON is considered armed and dangerous and is not to be approached. Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is asked to contact Homicide investigators at 204-986-6508, Crime Stoppers at 204-786 TIPS (8477), or 911.
