Fatal Collision – Investigation: C24-127933

On June 6, 2024, at approximately 7:00 a.m., Emergency Services responded to the report of a motor vehicle collision involving a cyclist eastbound Wellington Crescent near Cockburn Street N (both were travelling in this direction).

The 61-year-old victim was transported to hospital in critical condition, where he subsequently passed away, and family notifications have been made.  

The investigation determined the fatal collision was a hit-and-run, and a suspect vehicle has been recovered. This investigation is continuing.

The area currently remains cordoned off to vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
