Homicide – Investigation: C24-124299

On June 2, 2024, at approximately 2:30 a.m., officers from the Central District, with the assistance of the K9 Unit, responded to the 500 block of Furby Street for the report of a critically injured male.

Police provided emergency medical care until WFPS arrived, and he was transported to hospital in unstable condition, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased has been identified as 46-year-old Abubakarr KOROMA of Winnipeg. Family notifications have been made.

His death is considered a homicide, and investigators are continuing to gather information regarding this incident. It is believed an altercation took place between the deceased and another individual, resulting in his fatal injuries.
