On May 29, 2024, at approximately 11:00 p.m., officers from the North District responded to the report of a home invasion at a residence in the 500 block of Aberdeen Avenue.

A 14-year-old male had injuries to his upper body that were weapon-related (not from a firearm). He was transported to hospital, where he was treated and upgraded to stable condition.

An initial investigation has determined the victim and other occupants were inside the residence when a home invasion incident occurred. A group of armed suspects entered the home, fired shots (nobody was struck), the youth was assaulted, and they fled.

The Major Crimes Unit has taken over this investigation and continues to seek suspect information.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Major Crimes Unit at 204-986-6219 or anonymously at Crime Stoppers 204-786-TIPS or winnipegcrimestoppers.org
