Homicide – Investigation: C24-107684

On May 14, 2024, at approximately 8:45 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service received information regarding an injured, unresponsive adult male located in the rear lane in the 400 block of Notre Dame Avenue.

Central and North District officers attended and provided emergency medical care to the victim before the arrival of ambulance. He was transported to hospital in critical condition, where he was subsequently pronounced deceased.

The Homicide Unit assumed the investigation and has now identified the victim as 23-year-old Leo Amus CARIBOU of Winnipeg. Notification to family members has been made, and an autopsy is pending.
