Personal Safety - Carjacking

Carjacking is a term used to describe the theft of a vehicle from its driver through the use of force, or intimidation. Offenders select their victims by searching out the most vulnerable, or at times most convenient victims. These offenders are typically armed and highly motivated when committing these crimes, representing extremely high levels of risk to the vehicle occupants. To enhance your safety:

  • Stay alert at all times.
  • Be aware of your surroundings and
  • Keep all doors locked and windows up when driving.
