Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision – Investigation: C24-98010

On May 4, 2024, at approximately 12:40 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a serious motor vehicle collision involving a passenger vehicle and a pedestrian at St. Mary’s Road and Chesterfield Avenue.

Members of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service attended and transported the adult female pedestrian to hospital in critical condition, who later succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the involved vehicle remained on scene and spoke with investigating officers.  

The Traffic Division’s Collision Investigation Section has assumed the investigation and has identified the pedestrian as a 38-year-old female from Winnipeg. Notifications to the family have been made.
